Pet Transportation

  1. For domestic transportation health certificates are required, such as a certificate issued by a veterinarian within ten days prior to the flight, which demonstrates the good health of the pet, the administration of the respective rabies vaccines and the duration of these.
  2. Pets must have been weaned and be two months old at least.
  3. You must have a cage suitable for transporting your pet. In case of not having the cage, Tame Cargo offers the service (valued) prior coordination with the local freight office.

The characteristics required of the cage are:

  • It must allow the animal to remain standing with its head erect normally.
  • It must allow the animal to lie down fully extended.
  • It must allow the animal to rotate within the cage

At the time of cargo delivery to the Airline, you must submit two sets of copies of the above documents.

Hazardous Materials Transportation

Dangerous Goods

Hazardous materials are articles or substances when they are transported may endanger health, safety, property, people or environment. Tame Cargo ensures that security processes are strictly adhered to move these products.
We have certified staff for receiving and handling, we transport hazardous materials unless the explosives (Class 1), except the Division. 1.4.S, and Infectious Substances (Division 6.2 Category A). In all seasons, there is a place allocated for storage of such products, as described in national and international regulations, which allow us to handle your shipments safely as possible.


Some of these items considered hazardous materials are:

  • Compressed gases (flammable, non-flammable and toxic): gas cylinders, air cylinders, aerosols or air tanks for diving
  • Corrosive (acids, alkaline): wet cell battery
  • Explosives: weapons, ammunition or pyrotechnic materials
  • Flammable liquids or solids: lighter fuel, matches and fragile ignition items
  • Radioactive materials
  • Oxidizing and irritating materials: whitening agents, peroxide, bleach water, oxygenated water.
  • Poisonous or toxic materials: arsenic, cyanide, pesticides or herbicides
  • Infectious substances and samples for diagnosis

To transport these products you must comply with the classified, identified, packaged, labeled and documentation, as required by the regulations of IATA Hazardous Materials and applicable regulations.
At reception time, Tame Cargo staff will make an exhaustive review of shipping documents and cargo, and will provide full feedback if there is any difference as required by national and international regulations.
Tame Cargo to be an active member of IATA, provides training courses for its staff. We have a group of trained instructors, in compliance with international regulations.

General Cargo Transportation

The term General Cargo is used for all those shipments of goods that are not perishable and do not require special treatment. Inside this category, we can find merchandise such as computers, electronics, shoes, textiles, parts, among others.

Perishable Cargo Transportation

Tame Cargo transports carefully the cargo of perishable products, taking into account the special characteristics of such shipments, which conservation and proper management is essential.
Perishable products include products such as: seeds, fruit, vegetables, fresh flowers, meat, fish, shellfish, and any other product that can be affected easily by improper preservation or handling conditions.
Shipments consist of substances or perishable items will be accepted if they meet the following specifications:
The wet loads (seafood, meat, etc.) should make sure in order to do not cause leaks or liquid spills during transport. In addition, they must not emit strong odors.
In horticultural products (fruit, vegetables, flowers, etc.), the packaging should be sufficiently strong so that they can withstand the stacking of at least 2.2 meters high, without the boxes next to the floor collapse. At the same time, the packaging should be moisture resistant that these products generate.


Special Conditions
For shipments of perishable products which are packed with solid carbon dioxide (dry ice) must exist a prior agreement between the shipper and Tame Cargo. Dry ice is classified as a Hazardous Material and the amount that can be placed on board is limited by the type of aircraft.
No specific indications will be accepted about maintain accurate temperatures or temperature ranges (e.g., "keep 5 degrees" or "hold between 10 and 13 degrees").
Note: Whenever you use dry ice as a refrigerant, you must include the legend: "Dry Ice 9 UN 1845", followed by the amount of dry ice contained in each package.
Labelling


The perishable cargo must have the following labels:

  • The handling label for perishable which identifies the contents: meat, fish, vegetables or fruit.
  • Handling labels for package orientation (orientation arrows).
  • Hazard label Class 9 when dry ice was used as refrigerant of the product.

Courier, Freight and Parcel Transport

Our domestic service of Courier, Cargo and Parcel links all cities where Tame EP operates, so we provide a reliable and timely transportation. Accepted shipments are subject to the regulations of the National Postal Agency and the National Security Program to cargo transportation by air.

Rates apply on physical weight while the following conditions are met:

  • Maximum weight per piece up to 100 kg. (22 lb.) under load that can be divided.
  • Maximum weight per piece up to 250 kg. (550 lb.) under load that cannot be divided.
  • Maximum linear dimensions per piece up to 254 cm. (100 in.)

Human Remains

Tame Cargo understands your needs trying each shipment carefully to ensure optimal arrival at the final destination. This service is provided for the transportation of corpses or cremated human remains. They are considered special charge and will only be accepted for transport on the basis of confirmed space from origin to final destination. Acceptance of them shall be subject to confirmation and booking of space by the airline.

These are some of the documents that may be required for transport, likewise we recommend checking with local authorities in the country of shipment for any other documentation required:

  • International transit permit of corpse, issued by the health authority where the death occurred
  • Embalming certificate
  • Death certificate issued by the competent authority of the country where the death occurred
  • Copy of passport of the deceased and the familiar or guardian who request the procedure
  • Additionally, you should verify that the type of packaging used allow safe handling of shipment. The type of packaging varies depending on whether the human remains are cremated or not.
  • Human remains cremated: They must be adequately sealed in funeral urns. The inner urn must be protected with outer packaging to avoid damage during transportation.
  • Human remains not cremated: There are two types of packaging allowed:
  • Zeigler Unit: human remains should be placed inside a hermetically sealed box with a reinforced outer packaging made of cardboard or wood to provide more protection.
  • Coffins: they must be reinforced with an outer packaging using a cardboard or hardboard.
  • Exhumed human remains: they should be packed as human remains not cremated.
  • At the time of human remains delivery to the Airline, you must submit two sets of copies of the above documents.
